Terms of Use
Last updated:
These terms apply to your use of the Pantry AI app. By using the app you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Apple’s standard terms
The app is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which is part of these terms. Where these terms add to the Standard EULA, both apply. Where they conflict, the Standard EULA applies.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Subscriptions
- Some features need a paid subscription, bought through the App Store and charged to your Apple ID.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you subscribed, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
- Free use and some subscription levels have usage limits, such as a number of meal plans per week. These are shown in the app and may change.
AI-generated suggestions: please read
Meal plans, recipes, ingredient lists, cooking times and tips in the app are generated by artificial intelligence. They are suggestions only, and they can be wrong or incomplete.
- You are responsible for food safety, including allergies, intolerances, dietary or medical needs, and the needs of everyone you cook for. Even if you have told the app about an allergy, the app may still suggest an ingredient that contains it. Always check ingredients and product labels yourself.
- Use your own judgement on cooking temperatures and times, food storage, and whether an ingredient is still safe to eat. The app cannot tell from a photo whether food has gone off.
- The app does not give medical or nutritional advice. If you have a medical condition or a serious allergy, follow the advice of a qualified professional.
- Ingredients recognised from photos may be wrong or missed.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- use the app for anything unlawful or harmful;
- try to get around usage limits, subscriptions or security, or access other people’s data;
- try to make the AI produce harmful or abusive content, or misuse it for purposes unrelated to cooking and meal planning;
- overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app or our servers, except where the law allows it;
- upload content you do not have the right to share.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the app running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any harm resulting from following an AI-generated suggestion without checking it yourself. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time. To have your account and data deleted, use Settings → Delete account in the app (or email privacy@pantry-ai.app). Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: cancel it separately in your Apple ID settings.
